LYO - Lutheran Youth Organization
The Lutheran Youth Organization of the North Carolina Synod is open to all youth in grades 6-12. Youth are members by virtue of being a member of any NC Synod ELCA congregation. Each year at the LYO Assembly, congregations are invited to send two voting delegates who vote on the LYO Board members and any issues before the assembly. They also spend time in small groups learning, sharing and discussing the theme for the weekend. This year's theme is "Pray Where You Are."
Our synod's LYO is further divided into four clusters: North Central, South Central, Eastern and Western. Each cluster holds annual rallies to encourage local participation in the Lutheran Youth Organization. Please take a moment to add these dates to your calendars. Join together with other Lutheran Youth from around your area in worship, service, fellowship, food and fun.
